What is ArcIMS?
What is AcrIMS? ArcIMS is an ESRI server technology that allows for the distribution of spatial data created in their
ArcGIS suite of products. See

Adding an ArcIMS Server to Dapple
- To add a new ArcIMS server you need the URL for the server. For example, "http://www.geographynetwork.com/servlet/com.esri.esrimap.Esrimap"
- In Dapple on the File menu, click Add ArcIMS Server. The Add an
ArcIMS Server dialog is displayed.
- Enter the server URL in the text box provided and click [OK]. Dapple will contact the server and
retrieve a list of its image services.
- Select an image service of interest to see the list of available layers on that service.
